WebMD to power Healthy IncentivesSM in 2010

New Web site will add speed and choices

Beginning Jan. 1, 2010, King County employees will have access to a new Healthy IncentivesSM Web site, powered by WebMD. Healthy IncentivesSM has partnered with this highly trusted source for online information to give you a powerful resource for improving your health and well-being as you reach for the gold out-of-pocket expense level.

The Web site will provide central access to your wellness assessment and a variety of new Individual Action Plans. No more route 66! No more colorful choices! A new slate of Individual Action Plans will give you personalized, step-by-step programs to improve your health.

Also available to you from the Web site:

  • Easy access to the most current, trustworthy, and easy-to- understand medical information online.
  • Symptom Checker that provides an intuitive way to check your symptoms and research possible health problems. Just click on the part of the body where you feel symptoms.

In response to employee feedback, Healthy IncentivesSM has been improved for 2010. WebMD was chosen through a competitive process because of its ability to deliver the kind of change employees want. The enhanced Healthy IncentivesSM Program will offer:

  • Greater choice in individual action plans. New individual action plans give people more choice about how to maintain or improve their health.
  • Immediate feedback on progress and results. Find out your wellness assessment results and start your individual action plan right away. Track your progress on the road to gold.
  • Clear identity. The wellness assessment and individual action plans will be easy to find from one portal page.

And it will be:

  • Evidence Based. Reflects the best science to date on support needed to drive behavior change.

Just as in past years, by completing the wellness assessment and individual action plan you’ll be rewarded with the gold out-of-pocket expense level for 2011. Just register for the new Healthy IncentivesSM Web site starting on January 1, 2010 and you’ll be able to take your Wellness Assessment and select your Individual Action Plan online. There will also be the option to take the Wellness Assessment and Individual Action Plans on paper.

More details on the enhanced Healthy IncentivesSM program will be available soon. Keep reading your Health Matters e-newsletter and watch for an announcement of presentations at worksites in December and January.
