Time to spring in to your individual action plan!

Many of you have already heard from Healthways and begun your action plan. But, if you’re still waiting, please be patient – Healthways is processing more than 18,000 participants this year and is on schedule to get in touch with everyone by March 31.

When you hear from Healthways, get started as soon as possible. You want to complete your action plan by June 30, 2009. If you cover a spouse/domestic partner under your medical coverage, he or she must also complete an action plan by June 30.

Complete an action plan by June 30, 2009, and you’ll earn the gold out-of-pocket expense level for your 2010 medical expenses.

It’s important to wait until you hear from Healthways before you begin your individual action plan. You may think you are low risk, but Healthways may detect something from your answers indicating a potential for moderate risk.

If you don’t receive a letter or phone call from Healthways by March 31, please contact Healthways toll-free at 1-877-279-0624.

Low-risk individual action plans

If Healthways notifies you by letter that you are at low risk for future health problems, you can earn the gold out-of-pocket expense level for your medical benefits in 2010 by completing one of the following logs for 42 consecutive days before June 30, 2009. However, please do not begin a low-risk log until you have heard from Healthways that you are low risk.

“I Love Route 66. I used to transfer to a bus that would take me directly to the Administration Building after I got off the Sounder commuter train. Now I walk the distance round trip. This gives me something to log in every weekday and I get to learn about all the neat towns along the way. I love to cook so the daily recipes are a big hit with me."
