Let’s start with facts.

First the good news:   Most people do not gain as much weight over the holidays (see article) as you might think.  The average weight gain from Thanksgiving through New Years is only about one pound.

Now the bad news:  most people don’t lose that pound and continue to add to it year after year.

For people who are already overweight, the holiday weight news is worse. Although the average gain is only one pound, people who are already overweight tend to gain a lot more. One study found that overweight people gained five pounds or more during the holidays.

Make this year the year to hold the line and not gain that pound.

We have assembled 21 recipes to help you have a healthy Thanksgiving meal this year.  Preparing a traditional Thanksgiving menu that's lower in fat and calories but still thrills your family isn't hard.
