Lonebrat's Live Well Challenge Blog
Well, here we go again . . . another year, another Live Well Challenge. Things haven't changed too drastically since this time last year. I'm still wearing the same size, but it's not looking so great. I'm really going to try and use this challege as a catalyst for a Move More program in my life. I really need it.
Step One: Get that freaking treadmill out of the garage, into the house AND USE IT! You know what really makes me nuts?! I actually like working out. I mean, not the sweaty pain part about working out, but the put on headphones and rock out to Matchbox Twenty while forgetting the world for awhile part of working out. I really find it a great stress reliever. And since I haven't been doing much besides walking the dogs lately, I notice that my stress level has been not so great. So, that's #1 on the agenda for this weekend.
Step Two will involve developing a daily routine. I want to start with 15 minutes a day. Surely I can do that. I'll increase as needed, although not before 2 weeks . . . It's just like me to go for the gusto right away, then pull something or pinch something and completely derail my workout routine. Not this time.
Step Three: Hug my dogs more. Okay, maybe that's not part of a move more routine, but it sure keeps a smile on my face.
Step Four: Follow my passion. Right now, its working with the Northwest German Shepherd Rescue organization. We try to find homes for abandoned, abused, neglected and surrendered German Shepherds. They are such a magnificent breed (IMHO). My job right now is to make videos of our homeless guys and upload on the web.
