Live Well Challenge Rules
You must have regular computer access to play. You can register between June 29 and July 19, 2009. No late registrations are allowed.
The Live Well Challenge officially begins on July 20, 2009 and ends on August 30, 2009.
Traditional Teams must have 3-10 members including one Team Captain. All team members must be King County employees (anyone who receives a King County paycheck).
Couples Teams consist of two people, a King County employee and their spouse/domestic partner (spartner). Only spartners who are covered by King County health benefits are eligible to play.
Participants may drop from participation before the event, but not after registration closes (July 19, 2009). Exceptions to the rule will be made only in rare situations (e.g. serious illness, leaving employment with King County, or similar circumstances). In such situations, the Team Captain must notify the Live Well Challenge staff immediately.
No changes can be made to team names or team roster after July 19, 2009.
Individuals may be a member of only one team.
Weeks run from Monday to Sunday. For example, Week 1 is July 20 - 26, 2009.
To be eligible for weekly awards and prizes, participants must record the previous week's activity online by 11:59 pm on Tuesday. For example, participants must record their activity by Tuesday, July 28, 2009 for Week 1. See event timelines for more detail. Weekly activity recorded after 11:59 pm on Tuesday but before 11:59 pm on Friday will only be counted toward your point total. No entries for the previous week will be accepted after Friday 11:59 pm. See event timelines for more detail. No partial points will be given.
