| Gym Discount Program Overview and GoalsThe King County Gym Discount Program provides discounted gym membership for employees, retirees, and dependents to support their efforts to move more every day. This program is a component of King County's Health Reform Initiative (HRI). The HRI's goal is to reduce the rising trend of health care costs by improving employee health.
The King County Gym Discount Program includes facilities throughout Puget Sound. Gyms vary in types of services provided, membership costs, and location. Gyms are participating on a voluntary basis. Employees, retirees and their dependents must pay all membership costs. In most cases the discounts are good for a year except in cases that are indicated.
If you don’t see your gym in our Discount Program, they can still join. If they are interested in providing a discount for a year to King County employees, their dependents and retirees, have them contact the Health Matters Team by email: Health.Matters@kingcounty.gov or phone: 206-263-6085.
