Where to get the flu vaccine

King County onsite flu clinics will be available Oct. 24 - Nov. 17, 2011.  The schedule may be found online.  

KingCare/Aetna members

Your flu vaccine is covered at 100%. You can get vaccine by:

  • Making an appointment with your health care provider.
           - OR-
  • Getting a flu shot at a community location, such as a pharmacy.  Some locations will bill Aetna directly and others will require you to pay in advance and submit a claim for reimbursement (PDF) to Aetna.  You can find community clinics through the Google flu shot finder.

Group Health members

Your flu vaccine is covered at 100%. You can get vaccine by:

  • Visiting any Group Health clinic between 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (click here for more info). - OR -
  • Making an appointment with your health care provider. - OR -
  • Getting a flu shot at a community location, such as a pharmacy. If you get your flu vaccine at a non-Group Health location, you may need to pay for the vaccination and submit a claim for reimbursement (PDF).  You can find community clinics through the Google flu shot finder.

Non-benefits eligible employees

Even if you are not covered by King County health benefits, you can get a flu vaccine by:

  • Getting a flu shot at a community location, such as a pharmacy. Pharmacies charge a fee for flu shots, usually about $25.   You can find community clinics through the Google flu shot finder.
