King County Dist. 41 recount results certified
King County Elections this afternoon certified the results of the machine recount of the District 41 State Senator race between Steve Litzow and Randy Gordon. Litzow retained his lead and final results give him a 192 vote advantage.

Sherril Huff, director of elections, has issued a special message to voters who may be contacted by someone other than the Elections Department about their signature.

King County wraps up first week of election results, adds 74,265 to count
King County Elections has posted updated results to its website, adding 74,265 ballots to today’s report and bringing the total number of ballots counted to 569,743.

King County Elections Adds 70,821 Ballots to Results Count
Updated results have been posted to the King County Elections website, adding 70,821 votes to the report and bringing the total number of ballots counted to 495,478.

Voter turnout in King County Exceeds Predictions
Ballots are still arriving in the mail at King County Elections, however most of the ballots postmarked by the Election Day deadline have been delivered, totaling more than 762,000.

Election night results exceed original estimate
King County Elections delivered the first set of General Election results tonight for a total initial count of 373,941. More than 120,000 ballots arrived in the mail today and processing has started for subsequent counts.

Ballots are being returned at a steady rate to King County Elections where Election Day results are expected to set a new mail ballot record.

Anyone can watch ballots being opened at King County Elections through a new, live webcam that displays activities at the Elections office.

New voters still have time to register for the General Election
King County residents still have time to register to vote for the General Election. If you are not currently registered to vote in Washington, visit the King County Elections office by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 25.

King County Ballots in the Mail Oct. 13
King County voters will begin receiving their ballots and voters’ pamphlets this week. This year’s General Election ballot is very large, so make sure to read the entire ballot from top to bottom, and front to back before filling it out.
