The August 19, 2008 Top 2 primary includes federal, state, and judicial races and local ballot measures.
In August 2008, King County will conduct a Top 2 primary. Voters will not have to pick a party and will be able to choose among all candidates for each office. In each race, the two candidates with the most votes will advance to the November General Election.
A Top 2 primary allows voters to choose among all candidates running for each office. Voters do not have to declare a party affiliation in order to vote in the primary.
