The skilled labor force entering the Landscape Industry is decreasing not only locally, but nationally. In response, Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance, Inc. is taking steps to address this challenge. Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance, Inc. has developed its own workforce training programs that are designed to empower individuals to strive for continuous improvement. Uyeta’a instructional programs include an education initiative developed in collaboration with the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Highline School Districts Puget Sound Skill Center. The program adds landscape industry certification as course electives for high school students. Upon completion of the required coursework, students are eligible to take the Landscape Industry Certification exam. Uyeta Landscape & Maintenance, Inc. also offers paid Internships in connection with the Landscape Industry Certification courses.
