(King County) A man who is suspected of violently assaulting a walker at Marymoor Park last year has been idenfitied by DNA.
King County Sheriff’s detectives said a man is in-custody for a violent assault on a woman that occurred at Marymoor Park last August. Detectives said a DNA hit led to the identification of the suspect.
Due to the continued investigation, the prosecutor’s office has requested that no further information be released at this time.
The assault happened on August 5, 2016 at Marymoor Park. The victim was walking her dog on a trail when she was grabbed by the suspect and punched repeatedly. The suspect tried to strangle the victim but fled when a man walking nearby heard the victim screaming for help and went to investigate. (Case#C16039942)
