Covington Police and King County Sheriff deputies surrounded the house in the 27700 block of 168 Ave SE around 8:30 Monday morning. Police had been told that Tubbs said he wouldn’t be taken alive. Tubbs was found hiding in the garage and when order to come out with his hands up he refused. Tubbs kept his hands in his jacket pockets and told deputies “you’re going to have to kill me.”
When Tubbs would not comply deputies tried to taze him twice, but his thick jacket prevented the probes from good contact.
