Arraignment Set for Defendant Charged in Pioneer Square Stabbing:  Arraignment will be held on June 4 for a 28-year-old man who is accused of stabbing another man in Pioneer Square on May 19. The defendant, Marco Antonio Santiago, is charged with Assault in the First Degree with a deadly weapon enhancement. Santiago tried to take the victim’s backpack, and when the victim resisted, the defendant allegedly stabbed him. The defendant fled the scene but was arrested a short time later. He remains in jail with bail set at $500,000. Thursday's arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in courtroom 1201 of the King County Courthouse.
