Story

First Appearance for Suspect in Assault on Local Comedian: A judge this afternoon set bail at $250,000 for a 48-year-old man arrested on investigation of assault for allegedly attacking a Seattle-area comedian during an open-mic comedy event at a restaurant in Renton on Monday. The suspect was allegedly angry for not being allowed to perform. He is accused of hitting the victim in the head with an aluminum baseball bat. The suspect is scheduled for a second appearance on January 8 at 2:30 p.m. in courtroom 1 at the King County Jail.
