Sentencing for Man Convicted in the Murder of his 72-year-old Aunt in Bellevue: A sentencing hearing will be held this afternoon for Mark Irwin, 53, who pled guilty last month to Murder in the Second Degree for attacking his Aunt, Barbara Irwin, with a hammer in Bellevue in April, killing her in her apartment. Prosecutors will be recommending a sentence of 29 years in prison. Today’s sentencing is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. before Judge Roger Rogoff in courtroom W-719 of the King County Courthouse. The case was handled by Senior DPA Don Raz.
