Free child car seat check-up events in King County
Several free child car seat check-up events are happening locally over the next few months for parents, parents-to-be and caregivers, starting on Friday, April 24. Hosted by Public Health - Seattle & King County, the checks make sure child care seats are installed properly to save lives.
Fun, free pool events promote safe water adventures this season
There will be free swim time and water safety activities at over 30 participating city, county, and private pools statewide. Most events will be held on April Pools Day, Saturday, April 18, but check with your local pool for specific dates and times.
Two people diagnosed with active TB at local school
Two cases of active TB at a local school are being investigated. There is no evidence that the two cases were acquired at the school, however, out of an abundance of caution health officials are recommending TB tests for all members of the school community.
