Adult Justice Programs and Initiatives
The King County Office of the Executive and the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office are developing a project to divert certain first-time felony referrals from the adult judicial system and into community based supports.
Below is a recording from an information session held with community service organizations describing a high level outline of the program and inviting those interested in participating in a deeper feedback process.

In 2015, a cross system of county leaders, courts, agencies and community members formed a Recidivism Reduction and Reentry Policy Work Team to provide King County with technical assistance, as well as program and policy advice and support, in the development of a robust continuum of practices and interventions designed to reduce criminal justice involvement among our community members.
