Have you updated your residential or mailing address? To get your information updated in time for the election, you need to change your address with King County Elections no later than 29 days before election day. This deadline applies no matter how you change your address.
There are five easy ways to update your address:
1. Online
Update your information online , 24-hours a day at the Secretary of State’s website. You will need one of the following:
  • A current Washington State driver license
  • A current Washington State ID card
2. Email
Email our office with the following information:
  • Your name
  • Date of birth
  • Old residential and mailing address
  • New residential and mailing address
3. Phone
Contact our office during business hours.
4. Mail
Download and print a voter registration form and mail it to King County Elections. Forms are available in many languages.
5. In-person
Visit one of these locations:
There are three ways to register to vote with your new county.
1. Online

Find your county elections department .
Register to vote in your new state, then cancel your registration in King County.
You can still vote, contact King County Elections to get a ballot. Make sure to update your registration for the next election.
