Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT)
Intensive Case Management Programs
The Integrated Dual Disorder programs provide co-occurring disorder outpatient treatment and transitional housing for an 12-month benefit. Two evidence-based practices, Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment (IDDT) and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) are part of the intervention and service delivery package, both from a recovery-oriented therapeutic approach. The programs are designed to serve the King County District Court Regional Mental Health Court, the King County Drug Diversion Court, the City of Seattle Municipal Mental Health Court and King County Jail referrals via Jail Health Services Release Planning Department. Referrals to IDDT programs are also considered from municipal jails in King County.
- Adults who have been diagnosed with a co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder and who have opted into, the King County District Court Regional Mental Health Court, King County Drug Diversion Court or the Seattle Municipal Mental Health Court.
- Adults who have been diagnosed with a co-occurring mental health and substance use disorder that are incarcerated in the King County Jail, or a municipal jail within King County, and are referred by a release planner or jail liaison.
- Adults who are clinically appropriate and agree to participate in all aspects of the program (medication management, mental health therapy, substance abuse treatment groups, checking in with a case manager, etc.)
Individuals who are successful in this program have a level of functioning and medication stability that is conducive to participating in a structured outpatient treatment environment. Individuals who are able to attend to their own basic activities of daily living are the most successful in this highly structured treatment program.
