North Highline Area "Y"
Proposed Annexation

Approved by Washington State Boundary Review Board for King County on July 14, 2016.


Public Hearing brief:

In January, 2015, the proponent, City of Seattle, filed a Notice of Intention with the Boundary Review Board to annex territory that is commonly referred to as North Highline "Y" Area. The proposed annexation area total 2,045 acres.

The North Highline "Y" Area is located immediately adjacent to the southern boundary of the City of Seattle. The North Highline "Y" Area's northernmost boundary is primarily formed by SW Roxbury Street and generally by South 96th Street (if extended). The southern boundary is formed by South 107th Street, South 108th Street, South 116th Street, SW 1121h Street and SW 1161h Street. The western boundary of the site is variously formed by the City of Seattle corporate boundary (at approximately 30th Avenue SW) and by Seola Beach Drive SW. The eastern boundary of the site is generally formed by SR 99 adjacent to the City of Tukwila.

Duwamish area: North Highline Area "Q" and South Park "Sliver"

Public Hearing brief:

In August, 2014, the proponent, City of Seattle, filed a Notice of Intention with the Boundary Review Board to annex territory that is commonly referred to as Duwamish Area at 220 acres.

The Duwamish Annexation Area is located adjacent to and south of Seattle's South Park neighborhood between the Duwamish River and State Route 99. More specifically, the Duwamish Area Annexation is located immediately south of the existing City of Seattle. The northern boundary of the entire Duwamish Area Annexation is formed by the southern boundary of the City of Seattle at Kenyon Street (if extended) and the Duwamish Waterway. The western boundary of the site is variously formed by the City of Seattle (generally east of Dallas Avenue South and by West Marginal Way. The eastern boundary is formed by the Duwamish Waterway and the City of Tukwila. The southern boundary is at South 101st Street.

CITY OF SHORELINE
Ronald Wastewater District
Proposed Assumption


Public Hearing brief:

In May 2014, the proponent, the City of Shoreline filed a Notice of Intention with the Boundary Review Board to assume that portion of the Ronald Wastewater District lying within King County of approximately 7076 acres.

The Ronald Wastewater District Assumption Area essentially coincides with the boundaries of the City of Shoreline within King County. Exhibit I and Exhibit II (attached hereto) comprise the official legal and description and maps for File 2357.

CITY OF ISSAQUAH
Klahanie Area
Proposed Annexation


Public Hearing brief:

In July of 2013, the City of Issaquah submitted to the Washington State Boundary Review Board a Notice of Intention (File No. 2347) to annex a certain 1243 acre portion of territory, i.e., the planned community of Klahanie, together with several neighboring suburban residential communities: including Brookshire, Estates, Brookshire Crest, Brookshire East, Brookshire Ridge, Autumn Glen, Hunter's Lane, Hunter's Place, Hunter's Ridge, Livingston, Pine Classics, Rainbow Lake Ranch, Summer Meadows, Summer Pond, Glenwood) and Eastridge Church. A King County Park is located within the Klahanie Area. The Klahanie Area is located on the northeast side of the City of Issaquah.

CITY OF TUKWILA
North Highline Area "Q"
Proposed Annexation


Public Hearing brief:

In August 2012, the proponent, the City of Tukwila, filed a Notice of Intention with the Boundary Review Board to annex territory that is commonly referred to as North Highline Area "Q" comprising 166 acres.

North Highline Annexation Area "Q" is located immediately adjacent to the Duwamish River at the western boundary of the City of Tukwila. The northern boundary of the site is formed by South Director Street. The southern boundary of the site is located at South 101st Street. The western boundary of the site is formed primarily be West Marginal Way. The Green River Trail Corridor runs through the area and the Duwamish Riparian Corridor and lies within the proposed annexation.

In October, 2011, the City of Burien, the proponent, filed a Notice of Intention with the Boundary Review Board to annex North Highline Area "Y" at 2045 acres (File No. 2332.)

The North Highline Annexation Area "Y" is located immediately adjacent to the northern boundary of the City of Burien. The North Highline Annexation "Y" Area northernmost boundary is primarily formed by SW Roxbury Street and generally by South 96th Street (if extended.) The southern boundary is formed by South 107th Street, South 108th Street, South 116th Street, SW 112th Street and SW 116th Street. Mt. Si Substation
Proposed Annexation


Public Hearing brief:

In July of 2010 the City of Snoqualmie filed a Notice of Intention (File No. 2319) to annex 19.42 acres, described as the Mt. Si Substation Area. This Notice was based upon a Resolution adopted by the Snoqualmie City Council approving a plan to annex the Mt. Si Substation Area into the community. City of Snoqualmie officials reported that the proposal to annex the Mt. Si Substation was made in response to a petition from property owners seeking to become part of the City of Snoqualmie.

West Hill Area
Proposed Annexation


Public Hearing brief:

In August of 2009, the City of Renton, the proponent, filed a Notice of Intention with the Boundary Review Board to annex the West Hill Area (File No. 2303) as prescribed by RCW 36.93 (Local Governmental Organization - Boundaries.) The City of Renton proposes to annex 1897 acres of land generally located in southeast King County The application for annexation was based upon a Resolution of the Renton City Council pursuant to RCW 35.14A.

CITY OF SAMMAMISH
Aldarra/Montaine Area
Proposed Annexation


Public Hearing brief:

In March 2010, the City of Sammamish filed a Notice of Intention (File No. 2314) to annex a certain territory, described as the Aldarra/Montaine Area.

The City of Sammamish proposes the annexation of approximately 93 acres. The annexation was initiated through the 60% Direct Petition method under RCW 35A.14.120 - RCW 35.A14.150. Annexation is sought by the proponents to be governed under City of Sammamish regulations and processes and to receive public services from the City of Sammamish. City officials adopted a Resolution in support of this action in March 2010.

In January of 2010, the City of Renton, the proponent, filed a Notice of Intention with the Boundary Review Board to annex the Fairwood Area (File No 2308) as prescribed by RCW 36.93 (Local Governmental Organization - Boundaries.) The City of Renton proposes to annex 3,995 acres of land generally located in southeast King County. The application for annexation was based upon a Resolution of the Renton City Council pursuant to RCW 35.14A.

Public Hearing brief:

In August 2009, the City of Tukwila filed a Notice of Intention (File No. 2304) to annex 259 acres described as the Tukwila South Area. This Notice was based upon a Resolution adopted by Tukwila City Council approving a plan to annex the Tukwila South Area into the community. City officials reported that the proposal to annex the Tukwila South Area was made in response to a petition from property owners seeking to annex to the City of Tukwila.

In April of 2009, the City of Kirkland filed a Notice of Intention (File No. 2293) to annex 4,590 acres, described as the Finn Hill, Juanita, Kingsgate Area. This Notice was based upon a Resolution adopted by Kirkland City Council approving a plan to annex the Finn Hill, Juanita, Kingsgale Area into the community. City officials reported that the proposal to annex the Finn Hill, Juanita, Kingsgate Area was made in response to a petition from citizens seeking to annex to the City of Kirkland.

North Highline Area "X"

Public Hearing brief:

In February of 2009, the City of Burien, the proponent, filed a Notice of Intention with the Boundary Review Board to annex North Highline Area "X'' (File No. 2290).

North Highline Area "X" (1,680 acres) is located immediately adjacent to the northern boundary of the City of Burien. The northernmost boundary of the site is variously formed by South 107th Street, South 108th Street, South 116th Street. SW 112th Street and SW 116th Street. The site's western boundary is variously formed by the City of Seattle corporate boundary (at approximately 29th Avenue SW) and by Ambaum Boulevard SW. The eastern boundary is generally formed by SR-99 adjacent to the City of Tukwila.The southern boundary is formed by South 128th Street and SW 128th Street.
