From 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6 through 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, King County issued an unprecedented 623 marriage licenses. The majority of those were issued to same-sex couples, thanks to a new state law guaranteeing marriage equality.
People across the state are talking about marriage equality on social media, and King County has created a Storify page to document this historic event. Get real-time updates, pictures, video and quotes from soon-to-be-married couples all in one place.
