Cost

• The marriage license fee is $64.00. Payment is by cash only at the downtown Seattle office; cash or local check with local identification at the other sites. No debit or credit cards are accepted.
• The fee is authorized and established by the State Legislature and is distributed, as follows:

• $ 8.00 Family Court
• $ 4.00 Records Preservation Fund
• $ 2.00 County Council
• $15.00 Family Services

State of Washington

• $10.00 Displaced Homemaker Program
• $ 5.00 Child Abuse Program
• $ 4.00 Centennial Records Preservation Program
• $ 4.00 State Archives
• $ 4.00 Washington State Heritage Center
