Juvenile Detention is located in the King County Youth Service Center. The Youth Service Center is located at 1211 East Alder in Seattle's Central District, near the main campus of Seattle University.

- By Bus:
Parking at the Youth Service Center is limited, therefore, visitors are encouraged to use the Metro Bus System. Metro Bus Routes 3 and 4 serve the area. Also, you may use Metro's Trip Planner.
- By Car: The Youth Service Center is located on 12th Avenue between Jefferson and East Yesler Way.
- From I-5 North or South, take the James Street Exit, travel east past Swedish Medical center and Seattle University. Turn right on 12th Ave and continue for 1/4 of a mile. The Youth Service Center will be on the left hand side of 12th Ave.
Parking
There is limited free parking available in the Youth Service Center parking lot, located in front of the building. Also, there is free two-hour parking on the streets located near the Youth Service Center.
