The King County Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention is hosting a free 2-hour workshop that will provide you with information about the corrections officer field of employment and effective tools to make you more competitive in the hiring process. Topics to be covered - Overview of the King County Corrections career field. This will include a description of the correctional
facilities operated by King County and information regarding the job duties of a corrections officer.
- Description of the application process
- Information about the written test, to include copies of sample tests
- Description and demonstration of the physical ability testing
- Overview of the background investigation and polygraph testing
- Description of the medical and psychological evaluation
Instructors This workshop will be instructed by King County Corrections, and Human Resources, professionals who have been involved in the hiring and training of hundreds of correctional staff. Date and time of next workshop Tuesday, Oct. 28th – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.The workshop will begin at 6 p.m. Topics will not be repeated so please arrive on time.
