The Maleng Regional Justice Center (MRJC) is located on the corner of 4th Avenue and James Street in the city of Kent, south King County. Court operations are located in the A wing (Courts Building) of the MRJC. - Parking: Free parking is available in a parking garage immediately adjacent to and to the west of the Maleng Regional Justice Center. When the garage is full, overflow parking is available at the Park and Ride lot just west of the MRJC on James Street. Overflow parking is also available during normal business hours at the Showare Center, which is located on James Street directly across from the entrance to the MRJC parking garage.
- Bicycle Parking: Limited bicycle parking (parking for about eight bikes) is available on the second level of the MRJC parking garage. A similar setup also is available on the 4th Avenue North side of the facility.

From Seattle, I-5 traveling south: Take the Kent-Des Moines exit. Turn left at the light. Travel to third light (Meeker St.) and turn left. Travel to Washington St. and turn left at light. Travel to James St. and turn right at light. Cross train tracks and turn right to enter the parking garage at 620 James St. Public Parking structure is on the right. From Tacoma, I-5 traveling north: Take the Kent/Des Moines exit. Travel to third light (Meeker St.) and turn left. Travel to Washington St. and turn left at light. Travel to James St. and turn right at light. Cross train tracks and turn right to enter parking garage at 620 James St. Public parking structure is on the right. From Renton, Hwy 167 traveling south: Take the Central Ave. N. exit. Turn left at the light. Travel to James St. and turn right at the light. Cross 4th Ave. and turn left to enter the parking garage at 620 James St. Public parking structure is on the right. From Auburn, Hwy 167 traveling north: Take the Willis St. exit. Turn right onto Willis St. Travel to 4th Ave. and turn left at the light. Travel to James St. and turn left at the light. Turn left to the entrance to the parking garage at 620 James St. Public parking structure is on the right. Additional parking is available at the following locations: - Sounder Parking Garage located at the SE corner of the Kent Station Project between 1st and 2nd along the North side of West Smith Street.

Accommodations for people with disabilities The MRJC is a fully accessible facility. Courtrooms are equipped with wheelchair lifts for the bench and witness boxes and jury boxes are wheelchair accessible. Assisted listening devices and American Sign Language interpretation are available from Interpreter Services, (206) 205-2519. Designated parking stalls are reserved on the first and second floors of parking garage. An elevator from the first to second floor of the garage provides access to the Courts Building entrance. Childcare The Courthouse Drop-In Childcare Center serves children who are called to testify as victims or witnesses or whose parents or guardians have business in the court. It is located on the third floor of the Maleng Regional Justice Center and opens at 8:30 a.m. For more information, call (253) 854-5625. Food A coffee bar is located near the first floor entrance to the Courts Building. Vending machines are available on the first floor and in the second floor jury assembly room. A variety of restaurants are located in downtown Kent, about two blocks from the MRJC. |
