How to Get to There
The Youth Services Center is located about five blocks east of Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, between 12th and 14th Avenues, one block south of East Jefferson Street. Courthouse area map (external link).
- Taking the bus: Visitors to the Youth Services Center are encouraged to use the metro bus system to avoid traffic congestion and parking difficulties. Metro bus routes 3 and 4 serve the area. Bus route information.
- Driving: Get directions (external link).
- Parking: Some free parking is available in the Youth Services Center parking lot, located in front of the building. Also, there is free two-hour parking on the streets located near the Youth Service Center.
- Bicycle Parking: Limited bicycle parking is available in front of the Youth Services Center just to the northeast of the main entrance.

Security Screening
You will pass through a security screening checkpoint as you enter the Youth Services Center. Certain items may not be brought into the facility and must be left with security personnel at the checkpoint before you enter. Please take a moment to learn about the items prohibited from King County court facilities.
Childcare
Childcare is not available at the Youth Services Center. If possible, other than those children who need to attend court or have an appointment in the building, it is best not to bring other children when coming to the Youth Service Center. Especially when coming for a court hearing, a lot of time is spent waiting and there is little for children to do while you wait. If you do bring other children with you to Juvenile Court, also bring something for them to do.
Food
- On-site: An espresso stand is located outside the main entrance to the Youth Services Center, and vending machines are located on the ground floor.
- Within walking distance: Going north on 12th Avenue, between E. Jefferson Street and E. Madison Street, there are several restaurants/cafes, many located across from Seattle University. Providence Hospital, located on E. Jefferson at 16th Avenue, has a large cafeteria. About 3 blocks south on 12th Avenue is Seattle's International District, with many Asian restaurants/cafes.
