FLO: Family Law Orientation
The Family Law Orientation (FLO) is designed for parties who do not have attorney representation. The orientation provides information on court processes, court rules, and resources that may help you with your case.
Pursuant to Local Family Law Rule 20(b), all unrepresented parties to actions filed under Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 26.09 -- which includes dissolutions of marriage, legal separations, and major parenting plan modifications -- must attend this orientation within 30 days of filing or receipt of service. All unrepresented parties to a case must attend the FLO.
For upcoming orientation dates, please check the Kent Family Law Orientation Schedule or the Seattle Family Law Orientation Schedule.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have an existing Domestic Violence Protection Order, Restraining Order, or No Contact Order involving the other party in your case, you will not be registered for the same class. Pre-registration is encouraged.
