East Division
Frank V. LaSalata was elected to the position of King County District Court Judge for the East Division in 2006, and prior to that time he served for over eight years as a judge pro-tempore in that court. He is currently assigned to the East Division criminal court in Redmond, Washington. Judge LaSalata serves as a member of the Board of Governors of the Washington State District and Municipal Court Judges’ Association and as a member of that organization’s Legislative Committee. He also serves as a member of the Washington State Board of Judicial Administration’s Trial Court Operations Funding Committee. Judge LaSalata volunteers for the King County Kid’s Court program, a nationally acclaimed program that assists child victims of sexual abuse. Judge LaSalata is a graduate of Washington State University where he earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Geology and Structural Geology. Judge LaSalata obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Puget Sound School of Law, and prior to his election to the King County District Court bench practiced law as a criminal defense attorney in both Bellevue, and Friday Harbor, Washington. Judge LaSalata has three adult sons and seven grandchildren. Judge LaSalata is committed to serving the citizens of the East Division of the King County District Court as an honest, fair and impartial judge.
