King County VINE Service

 (Victim Information & Notification Everyday)

Access to King County Jail Inmate Custody Status Information & Change Notification

What is the King County VINE Service?

King County VINE (Victim Information & Notification Everyday) is an automated service that lets victims and other concerned citizens track the custody status of inmates in the King County Jail.  By calling a toll-free number or visiting the KC VINELink website, you can find out the custody status of an inmate and register to receive telephone and/or email notification when the inmate's custody status changes.

The service is a free and anonymous telephone and/or web service that provides two important features: 1.) Information - Information is available 24 hours a day*.  The transfer of updated custody data occurs every 15 minutes from the jail to the system*.  2.)  Notification - You may register for automatic notification when a King County Jail inmate is released, transferred or escapes.  The notification is confidential.  An inmate will not know if someone is registered for notification.

The KC VINE Service notification is available in English, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish and Vietnamese.  In addition, VINE Service callers may receive assistance through a translator service that supports over 100 languages.

The King County VINE Service is provided in an effort to help keep the public safe and informed.  Do not depend solely on the VINE service for your protection.  If you feel that you may be at  risk, take precautions as if the inmate has already been released from custody.  If you feel you are in danger, call 911 immediately.

*Excluding scheduled off-hour application maintenance periods and baring any technical difficulties.
