ECR Online FAQ’s
1. Is there a fee? ECR online is a declining balance account .A deposit of pages is required to create an account. The cost for pages is .15 cents a page; this fee will be assessed once you view the actual document. 2. Can I use my e-filing log on? No. You must create a new account for viewing records. 3. Can I do case searches? No. You must provide a King County Superior Court case number (for example: 02-2-99999-9). For information on how to find a case number please go to Records Home page. Only case types per local general rule 31, online access to court records are available on ECR Online and filed November 1, 2004 to present. 4. How do I determine my case type? The case type is the third number in to the 9 digit case number. In this example, 02-“2”-99999-9, the third number "2" indicates the case is a civil case. An adult criminal case type number is "1", and a probate case type is "4". 5. Can I view other court documents? No. You can only view King County Superior Court documents, in the select parameters above. 6. Can I get a certified copy? No. The system can only provide plain copies. For certified copies please click here 7. Can you look up an old ID/Password? The e-service desk can possibly look up an old ID by the name of the payer. However they cannot look up the password or secret question. 8. How long do I get to view the document? Once you rquest a document it will stay in your ECR Online documents tab for 7 days. Save the document file onto your computer for future viewing. IF you do not save the document and 7 days have lapsed, you must pay to view the document again.
