Mandatory electronic filing for attorneys in King County Superior Court started July 1, 2009 (see LGR30). Pro Se parties may choose to e-file but are not required to do so. A new version of our E-Filing application, with improved features and streamlined processes, was released in support of this initiative.
The E-Filing application consists of four distinct processes:
· Filing documents into an existing case or to start a new case;
· Ex Parte submissions via the Clerk;
· Creating and submitting Working Copies electronically; and
· Electronic service of e-filed documents.
Please note:
If you are using Adobe Typewriter to add text to a PDF formatted document, you must print and scan the document prior to E-Filing.
If you are experiencing difficulty signing on to your e-filing account and you have not used your account since June 7, 2009, you may need to create a new e-filing account (by clicking on the ‘Create user ID’ link). If you need further assistance please contact our E Services Help Desk at (206) 205-1600 or email Eservices@kingcounty.gov .
