New election ballot drop boxes approved by the King County Council will make it easier for voters in West King County to cast their ballots in future elections.
The Metropolitan King County Council today approved a plan from the Department of Elections to place ballot drop-off boxes in neighborhoods throughout Council District 8 to increase access to voting. Those new locations are:
- White Center Library
- Burien Library/City Hall
- High Point Library
- King County Administration Building—Downtown Seattle
- International District (Exact location TBD)
- South Park Library
- Vashon Library
- Capitol Hill (Exact location TBD)
With the transition to vote by mail, the Council requested a plan from the Department of Elections to increase the return of ballots by voters. These locations are part of the 43 drop box sites selected as part of the requested plan.
All of these locations will be in place for the November general election.
