Government Accountability and Oversight

The Council's Government Accountability and Oversight Committee is responsible for policy recommendations relating to strategic planning, performance management and performance measurement, management organizational structure, technology management, and customer service.

The Committee also examines the efficiency and cost effectiveness of county departments and programs, including the assessor, elections, records and licensing, animal control, cable communications, the King County Fair, the King County International Airport, risk management, and executive services such as telecommunications, facilities management, purchasing, real property management, capital project oversight, and wastewater treatment and solid waste.
