NOTICE OF RULEMAKING

Pursuant to its authority under RCW 70.05.060, the King County Board of Health hereby gives notice of proposed rulemaking to amend certain Board of Health Code provisions governing fees for Environmental Health licenses, permits, and other services charged by Public Health – Seattle and King County for Fiscal Years 2009 and beyond. The purpose of the proposed amendments is (a) to clarify the Public Health Director's authority to adjust fees to ensure that the fees do not exceed the cost of providing services, and (b) to make corrections to the food establishment plan review fees where two or more plan reviews are performed for a single facility.

 

A public hearing on the proposed rules at which the public may state their views orally or in writing will be held during the regular meeting of the King County Board of Health, April 16, 2009, 1:30 p.m. in the Metropolitan King County Council Chambers, 10th floor, Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue, Seattle, WA. Written comments can also be submitted to: King County Board of Health, ATTN: Mary Snodgrass, Public Health – Seattle & King County, 401 Fifth Avenue, Suite 1300, Seattle, WA 98104; mary.snodgrass@kingcounty.gov. Written comments mailed or delivered to this address must be received by 5 p.m. on the day preceding the Board of Health meeting. Written comments may also be submitted at the Board of Health meeting.
