Regulation on the Sale, Permitting and Use of Woodstoves
and the Licensing of Firewood Sellers
Pursuant to its authority under RCW 70.05.060, the King County Board of Health hereby gives notice of proposed rulemaking to repeal the provisions of King County Board of Health Code Title 16 regulating woodstoves in King County.
The purpose of the proposed amendment is to repeal the King County Board of Health provisions regulating the sale and use of woodstoves and fuel woods, removal or replacement of uncertified woodstoves, permitting of woodstove installation, and licensing of firewood sellers.
A public hearing on the proposed rule at which the public may state their views orally or in writing will be held during the regular meeting of the King County Board of Health, July 19, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in the Metropolitan King County Council Chambers, 10th floor, Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue, Seattle, WA. Written comments can also be submitted to: King County Board of Health, ATTN: Maria Wood, Public Health – Seattle & King County, 401 Fifth Avenue, Suite 1300, Seattle, WA 98104; maria.wood@kingcounty.gov. Written comments mailed or delivered to this address must be received by 5 p.m. on the day preceding the Board of Health meeting. Written comments may also be submitted at the Board of Health meeting.
