NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing will be held before the Metropolitan King County Council, Room 1001, King County Courthouse, Seattle, Washington, on the 5th day of September 2017, at 1:30 p.m., to consider adoption of Proposed Ordinance 2017-0233 which will enable the county to sell a surplus parcel of approximately 1.18 acres of vacant land to the City of Kirkland for public access to the

Cross Kirkland Corridor.  The legal description is as follows:

PARCEL A:

THAT PORTION OF THE WEST 1/2 OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF THE SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 26 NORTH, RANGE 5 EAST, W.M., RECORDS OF KING COUNTY, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE EAST LINE OF SAID SUBDIVISION WITH THE NORTHWESTERLY MARGIN OF NORTHEAST 124TH STREET;

THENCE SOUTHWESTERLY ALONG SAID NORTHWESTERLY MARGIN 462.24 FEET TO A POINT ON SAID MARGIN WHICH IS 20 FEET NORTHEASTERLY FROM A POINT OF TANGENCY OF A CURVE;

THENCE NORTH 01°43'38" EAST 440 FEET, MORE OR LESS TO THE SOUTHEAST MARGIN OF NORTHERN PACIFIC RAILWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY;

THENCE NORTHEASTERLY ALONG SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY MARGIN TO THE EAST LINE OF SAID SUBDIVISION;

EXCEPT THE SOUTHEASTERLY 170 FEET THEREOF, (MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE NORTHWESTERLY MARGIN OF SAID NORTHEAST 124TH STREET);

AND EXCEPT THE WEST 174.98 FEET AS MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE WEST LINE OF THE ABOVE DESCRIBED MAIN TRACT;

AND EXCEPT THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PORTION OF THE ABOVE DESCRIBED PROPERTY: BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER THEREOF;

THENCE NORTH ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID PROPERTY A DISTANCE OF 120 FEET;

THENCE EAST AT RIGHT ANGLES TO SAID WEST LINE A DISTANCE OF 170 FEET, MORE OR LESS, TO INTERSECTION WITH A LINE DISTANT 40 FEET WESTERLY OF AND PARALLEL WITH THE EAST LINE OF SAID PROPERTY;

THENCE SOUTH ALONG SAID PARALLEL LINE A DISTANCE OF 10 FEET, MORE OR LESS, TO INTERSECTION WITH THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF SAID PROPERTY;

THENCE SOUTHWESTERLY ALONG SAID SOUTHERLY LINE TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

A NON-EXCLUSIVE EASEMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSTALLING, CONSTRUCTING, OPERATING, MAINTAINING, REMOVING, REPAIRING, REPLACING AND USING FORCE MAINS AND TRUNK SEWERS, WITH ALL CONNECTIONS, MANHOLES AND APPURTENANCES INCIDENT THERETO, TOGETHER WITH THE RIGHT OF INGRESS AND EGRESS OVER SAID EASEMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF GAINING ACCESS TO PARCEL A, SAID EASEMENT BEING DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

THE EAST 40 FEET (MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE EAST LINE OF THE FOLLOWING SUBDIVISION) OF THE SOUTHEASTERLY 170 FEET, (MEASURED AT RIGHT ANGLES TO THE NORTHWESTERLY MARGIN OF SAID NORTHEAST 124TH STREET) OF THAT PORTION OF THE WEST 1/2 OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF THE SOUTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 28, TOWNSHIP 26 NORTH, RANGE 5 EAST, W.M., RECORDS OF KING COUNTY, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

THENCE SOUTH 01°41'26" WEST ALONG SAID EAST LINE TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
