NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing will be held before the Metropolitan King County Council, Room 1001, King County ,Courthouse, Seattle, Washington, on the 9th day of May, 2011, at 1:30 p.m., to consider adoption of Proposed Ordinance 2011-0179 authorizing the executive to enter into an interlocal agreement between King County and the City of Kirkland for transfer to the City of the following parks and other properties at the following locations:

SUMMARY
The King County Council has concluded discussions with the City of Kirkland regarding the transfer of the parks and other properties to the City. The King County Council will consider an ordinance on May 9, 2011 approving the transfer to the City.
The transfer agreement provides for King County to transfer ownership of the facilities, parks, greenbelt related properties and roads related properties upon the effective date of the annexation of the Juanita-Finn Hill–Kingsgate communities to the City of Kirkland, which is scheduled for June 1, 2011.
Following the transfer, the City shall assume ownership and full and complete responsibility for the operation, maintenance, repairs, and any subsequent improvements to the properties and facilities.
