METROPOLITAN KING COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Proposed Ordinance 2010-0610 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a public hearing will be held before the Metropolitan King County Council, Room 1001, King County Courthouse, Seattle, Washington, on the 7th day of February, 2011, at 1:30 p.m., to consider adoption of Proposed Ordinance 2010-0610, authorizing the transfer of a parcel of King County-owned property to the City of Issaquah.
SUMMARY Proposed Ordinance 2010-0610 would authorize the Executive to sign an interlocal agreement with the City of Issaquah to transfer a parcel of land that provides an essential drainage facility for the City’s Southeast Issaquah Fall City Road and Southeast Black Nugget Road. The parcel number is 222406-9150, located at 236XX SE Black Nugget Road, at the northeast intersection of SE Issaquah-Fall City Road and SE Black Nugget Road. The County acquired the parcel as part of a road improvement project. The City subsequently annexed the area and took ownership of the road right-of-way, but the parcel was not transferred to City ownership at that time. The City is willing to take ownership of the parcel and has agreed to maintain it as a drainage facility essential to the operation of the city streets. The property has been declared surplus to the needs of the County.
