METROPOLITAN KING COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF ENACTMENT Ordinance 17253 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan King County Council adopted Ordinance 17253 on January 17, 2012. King County provides this notice of adoption and enactment pursuant to RCW 36.70A.290(2)(b). SUMMARY Ordinance 17253 relates to the King County transportation concurrency management program, adopting the new Transportation Concurrency Travel Shed Boundaries map. The concurrency program is a tool for ensuring that King County’s transportation infrastructure is adequate to meet the needs of new development. The Transportation Concurrency Travel Shed Boundaries map identifies travel sheds throughout unincorporated King County to be tested for transportation concurrency, as measured by travel time standards applied to each travel shed. A proposed development must be in a passing travel shed as an initial step in the project development process. Ordinance 17253 amends the King County Code so the Transportation Concurrency Travel Shed Boundaries map will represent the unincorporated area as of July 2011, accounting for recent annexations, and makes code text changes to report requirements representing efficiencies in the reporting process. A copy of Ordinance 17253 will be mailed upon request to the Clerk of the Council, Room 1200 King County Courthouse, 516 Third Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104, telephone 206-296-1020. Dated at Seattle, Washington, this 1st day of February, 2012 METROPOLITAN KING COUNTY COUNCIL KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON Anne Noris Clerk of the Council
