King County's Booking & Referral System and eSuperform |
Ingress Security Gateway |
Improve justice operations by making relevant information available to decision makers, operations staff, and law enforcement officers in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
For an overview of this project, please see the 2005 Technology Business Plan.
The Law, Safety and Justice Integration (LSJ-I) Program is in implementation mode on its first two major projects - the Booking and Referral System (BARS), and the Consolidated Criminal History Project (CCH).
In Q2, the program implemented portions of the CCH project. However, those changes are dependent on a state data service that is still in development. When the state makes that data available, the project will be completed. Additionally, the program continues to work with the state regarding final details for a regional law enforcement Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) – once available, the county will begin phased implementation (expected by year-end).
The LSJ-I Program also initiated its third project – the “public information portal”. The purpose of this project is to develop a comprehensive set of “criminal justice e-services” for the constituents of King County, and to extend those services to applicable agency employees.
Finally, the LSJ-I Program is about to complete a modification to the strategic plan for this program.
