Fees for Multiple Titles and/or Indexing **Documents that contain two or more transactions in the title and/or require multiple indexing will be charged $62.00 for each title and/or transaction unless additional title(s) are exempt which will be charged an additional $14.00 per exempt title. Additional pages will be charged only once for each document. A cover sheet is considered an additional page and will be charged the additional per-page recording fee ($1.00).
Non-Standard Documents RCW 65.04 allows recording of non-standard documents for an additional fee of $50.00. "Non-standard" refers to documents that do not meet margin and format requirements. The legislation does not include recording of documents that do not meet legibility requirements. All non-standard documents must have a cover sheet that meets the 1st page margin requirements and contain a signed "non-standard" form.

Payment Information Personal checks, cashier checks, money orders, or cash (in-person only) are accepted forms of payment. Check should be made payable to: King County Recorder's Office. Be sure to include a return address on all correspondence.
Copy Requests by Mail When requesting certified or standard copies by mail, please enclose a completed copy request form and the correct fees. If year is supplied, $8.00 search fee is not required.
If requesting copies of documents recorded before August 1, 1991, please request copies directly from the King County Archives.
