Aug. 2, 2012 Annual Food Frenzy Drive at PAO Raises $10,500 for Food Lifeline
The PAO participated in a two-week annual fundraising project in July called Food Frenzy, which raised $10,500 for Food Lifeline. Organizers say the money will provide 31,500 meals for hungry children. Food Frenzy is a “friendly” competition between law, accounting and engineering firms with the goal of feeding children during the summer months when food bank shelves aren’t well stocked and school lunch programs aren’t running. The PAO has won the competition in the Public Sector category for the past six years and the $10,500 raised surpasses the PAO’s 2011 total by $500. Employees participate in many fundraising projects including cook & bake sales, chili cook off, raffles and Dress Down for a Cause. One of our senior DPAs at the PAO’s Kent Office created the “Hunger Games” and employees participated in many fun games and friendly competition over the lunch hour.
