PAO Welcomes Its First Class of High School Interns

The PAO has launched a new internship program designed to offer high school students an opportunity to work in a professional law office and to learn more about the criminal justice system.  Many young people lack the opportunities, resources, connections, and skills that are helpful in achieving future employment and educational goals.  The PAO's new internship program is designed to mentor selected students and offer them opportunities that they may not otherwise have.  This program is named in honor of Norm Maleng, who was committed to helping youth stay in school and achieve more promising futures.

Last month, the PAO welcomed its first class of Norm Maleng summer interns -- 10 enthusiastic high school students from Garfield, Cleveland, Chief Sealth, Kentridge, South Lake, Ingraham, and the Arts Academy, who are learning about our criminal justice system and building skills.
