PAO Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Steven Kim has been invited by the South Korean government to spend six months in Seoul teaching Korean prosecutors trial practice skills.

AFIS Advances Lead to Identification of Rape Suspect
Defendant Jesse R. Gonzales (aka Jesse R. Guerten) was arrested and charged with First Degree Rape and First Degree Burglary with Sexual Motivation for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in her family's Shoreline home.

PAO Partnership With U.S. Attorney's Office Leads to Murder Conviction
For the first time in King County history, state and federal prosecutors have teamed together to try a state murder case. The partnership was formed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Todd Greenberg and King County Senior Deputy Prosecutor Roger Davidheiser.

LEAD -- A New Program Designed to Break The Cycle of Repeated Arrests
The PAO has partnered with the Seattle Police Department's West Precinct, The Defender Association, the ACLU, the Seattle City Attorney's Office, the Office of the Mayor, the King County Executive's Office and the Belltown community leaders to launch LEAD -- Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion -- a new and innovative approach to manage and more effectively deal with low-level drug addicts, dealers and prostitutes who currently revolve through King County's jail and criminal justice system.

Local and Federal Law Enforcement Work Together to Combat Crime
Federal and local law enforcement officials have just completed "Operation Center of Attention" -- a three-month undercover operation in White Center. The operation has resulted in 50 arrests, the seizure of 51 pounds of methamphetamine and 12 pounds of cocaine, and 68 firearms.
