Erika serves as Councilmember Patterson’s Chief of Staff, and staffs her on the following issues:
- Health
- Human Services
- Ferry District
- Criminal Justice
- Budget
Erika oversees policy initiatives, constituent relations and communications.
Erika has worked in the Patterson office since May 2004. She holds a BA from Michigan State University and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Washington. Prior work includes: Seattle City Council staff, House Democratic Campaign Committee, World Bank Group, and Office of Congressman Nick Smith.

Angela is Councilmember Patterson's Community Outreach Coordinator, and serves as a liaison for constituent and community groups in District 5. She also helps develop communication materials and coordinate Town Hall meetings and other events.
Angela graduated from Washington State University in 2006 with a BA in Communications. Prior to coming to the Patterson office, Angela worked closely with community members and stakeholders in South King County through her work with Renton Chamber of Commerce and Renton Technical College.

Sharon is Councilmember Patterson’s executive assistant. She serves as District Five's “mission control.” She handles all scheduling requests, constituent relations and provides important administrative support to Councilmember Patterson's Office.
Prior to joining Councilmember Patterson's Office, Sharon worked in the private sector in all aspects of Human Resources. Sharon is a long time resident of South King County.

Emiko serves as Councilmember Patterson's Policy and Communications Advisor. She staffs her on the following issues:
- Flood District
- Metro Transit and Transportation
- King Conservation District
- Regional Policy Committee
In addition, Emiko supports Councilmember Patterson in her roles as Chair of the Transportation Policy Board at the Puget Sound Regional Council, as a Sound Transit board member, and as a member of the Public Lands Steering Committee for the National Association of Counties (NACo). She also assists with communications and media outreach.
Emiko graduated with a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Washington in the spring of 2009 and holds a BA from The Evergreen State College. Previously, she worked with the League of Conservation Voters, the Washington Conservation Voters, and the YWCA-Seattle/King County.

Sarah serves as Councilmember Patterson’s Legislative Intern. Sarah graduated from Portland State University in 2006 with a BA in Political Science and Political Economy. She is currently in her final year of graduate school at the University of Washington, Evans School of Public Affairs, and will graduate with a Master’s in Public Administration. Her studies are focused in legislative relations and social policy.
Sarah previously worked with the Senate Special Committee on Aging, the National Academy of Social Insurance in Washington, DC, and the State of Oregon Employment Department.
