Erika serves as Councilmember Patterson’s Chief of Staff, and staffs her on the following issues:
• Health
• Human Services
• Comprehensive Plan
• Animal Control
• Budget
• Flood Control District
• Charter Review

Erika oversees constituent relations and communications, as well as assisting Councilmember Patterson in maintaining her additional responsibilities in her role as Chair of the Council.

Erika has worked in the Patterson office since May 2004. She holds a BA from Michigan State University and in July will complete her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Washington. Prior work includes: Seattle City Council staff, House Democratic Campaign Committee, World Bank Group, and Office of Congressman Nick Smith.

Joshua is a graduate of the University of Washington in 2003. Upon graduation Joshua moved around Washington to work on various campaigns, most recently being Congressman Brian Baird’s re-election campaign where he worked as the field director. Joshua came to us from Congressman Norm Dicks’ office.

When Joshua isn’t at the office you can find him fly fishing or watching his beloved Seattle sports teams.

Sharon is Councilmember Patterson’s executive assistant. She serves as District Five's “mission control.” She handles all scheduling requests, constituent relations and provides important administrative support to Councilmember Patterson's Office.

Prior to joining Councilmember Patterson's Office, Sharon worked in the private sector in all aspects of Human Resources. Sharon is a long time resident of South King County.
