Bothell

Bothell Main StreetLocated in the northeast corner of King County, Bothell was incorporated in 1909. Bothell's first Mayor was George Bothell, whose cousin, A. F. Bothell, was a member of the original City Council. The town was named by its first postmaster who declared that "there are so many Bothells in town, let's just call it Bothell." Many from this historic family are buried at Bothell's Pioneer Cemetery, located at Valley View Road and 108th Ave NE.

Originally a modest lumber and shingle producing town, many of Bothell's original buildings are now landmarks on Main Street. Although a thriving economic core today, Main Street maintains the same "small town charm" it had in its lumber days.

Averaging two parks per square mile, Bothell residents pride themselves on their parks system. A total of 23 parks are located within city limits, including a skate park and Bothell Creek Sports Field, which includes four multipurpose sports fields.
