DID YOU KNOW?
In the 1930's, King County Assessor records were compiled in longhand on 4x6 inch cards with revisions, cross-outs and no photographs. Even at the time, the cards were described
as "obsolete and replete with errors, admittedly unsatisfactory." Over the next 40 years, appraisers took more than two million photographs to document properties.
A description of files and an order form are provided. Files are available in one of three formats: FTP, cartridge or CD ROM. A description of data in each file is provided
next followed by ordering information.

Tax Data Extract (#229) - Includes account number, account status levy code, omitted assessment data, tax status,
tax billing year, land and building assessed value, amount of taxes billed, amount of taxes paid, bill requestor identifier,
information on senior citizen/disabled exemption status, new construction flag, change reason and miscellaneous fees billed with property taxes, other than SWM.

Real Property Full Legal Description (#250) - Provides an extract of complete legal descriptions contained in assessor's records. Information includes parcel/account
number and four lines of legal description per record. A record number identifies multiple records per account.

Plat Index (#006) - Shows plat name and number,
section, township and range, volume/page of recording. Provides one record for each plat record in King County and is updated monthly.

|
ASCRPT - Paper copy of Assessed Valuation and Extended Tax Certification Report. Shows information by levy code and by district.
