The Department of Assessments is responsible for appraising approximately 590,300 commercial, industrial and residential properties in King County. Real property valuation increased $21,178,191,285 or 13.79% over the prior year, for a total of $174,746,122,629.
Personal Property staff assessed approximately 63,800 accounts for 2001 taxes. Personal property valuation increased by $920,704,974 or 7.22% over the prior year, for a total of $13,673,981,168.
