King County Web site maintenance alert

All content under your.kingcounty.gov,  www.metrokc.gov, and www.govlink.org, including the King County Voter Guide and the Solid Waste Division Web site, will be undergoing maintenance on Saturday, Oct. 24, and is expected to return to service by 4 p.m. Oct.  24 (though maintenance could extend through the entire weekend). The outage will also prevent the county from streaming Windows Media video and audio files. Many documents published in formats such as PDF or DOC will also be unavailable. The maintenance is aimed at making the County technical infrastructure, including its Web presence, more reliable and secure.

Below is a linked list of popular related content that's available during the maintenance.

  • JILS: Jail Inmate Lookup Service
JIS will be available during the outage at this alternate location.
  • King County Voter Guide and Lookup
While the Voter Guide and Voter Lookup are unavailable, there's still tons of elections-related information, including details about the November general election.
  • Solid Waste Division
View transfer station hours, locations, driving directions and disposal/recycling fees. Download a one-page printable summary of recycling services offered at county solid-waste facilities. View details about recycling collection events scheduled for the weekend of Oct. 24.
  • MyCommute traffic cameras
Use the Road Alert Web Map to access My Commute traffic cameras, and while you're there, view travel alerts for roads in unincorporated King County and from the Washington State Department of Transportation.
  • King County Parks Information
Look up King County parks for a map and a list of facilities/improvements.
  • Take Winter by Storm
  • takewinterbystorm.org is unavailable during scheduled system maintenance, but please don’t let that delay your preparedness efforts! 3 days 3 ways is full of tips for getting ready for the pending storm season. Residents in flood prone areas can also learn more about getting ready this year.

Thanks for your patience during our maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience, and promise even greater technical availability after the maintenance is complete.
