Fourth of July schedule: What's open, what's closed

King County government offices will observe Independence Day on Friday,  July 3 and will be closed. All offices will be back on a normal schedule Tuesday, July 7. Monday, July 6, many offices will continue to be closed for furlough. 

• On July 3, most Metro Transit buses will operate on Sunday schedules. 
• Garbage collection operates on a normal pick-up schedule; transfer stations will be open. Call your garbage collection service provider for recycling pick-up information.
